Virginia Spaceport Authority establishes Employee Safety and Health Council
The council will seek to promote a positive safety and health culture in the workplace by regularly bringing employees and management together in a cooperative effort.
Introducing the VSA Employee Safety and Health Council! The mission of the Virginia Spaceport Authority Employee Safety and Health Council is to develop and promote a healthy and safe environment for all employees, visitors, and customers to our facilities through the involvement of all individuals with education, communication, and safe work practices. The purpose of this Council is to bring employees and management together on a regular basis in a cooperative effort to promote a positive safety and health culture in the workplace.
The first meeting of this Council was held on December 6, 2023 and was a huge success with an enthusiastic group! In this initial meeting, the council reviewed the Charter in detail, discussed the responsibilities of this Council, and nominated personnel for the open positions of Chair, Co-Chair, and Secretary. This team is ready to support the positive safety culture at VSA in 2024!
