Master Range Planner
Full Position Summary
Under limited supervision, this position cross-functionally coordinates with all department stakeholders and external customers to plan major work and operational events to develop and maintain a master schedule for the Spaceport.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Control and manage the mission manifest for all launch pads and facilities at the Spaceport; interface with all internal and external stakeholders to schedule future operational events.
- Assist in the development of processes and procedures for request and reservation of launch windows and/or facility usage.
- Analyze data and information to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and accelerate schedules while working with stakeholders to achieve company and customer goal
- Develop tools to analyze output, rate capacity, optimization problems for launch and payload processing operations to guide decisions.
- Develop tools and provide strategic scheduling expertise to guide efficient resource utilization across company facilities.
- Create and maintain a roadmap towards consistent launch pad and facilities refurbishment and improvements.
- Develop and track key performance measures while identifying decision points and actions to optimize Spaceport operations.
- Identify process improvements and actively develop solutions for optimization between all departments.
- Capture best practices of maintaining and operating launch systems; manage organizational knowledge and lessons learned.
- Work as part of a team to develop and manage a strategy to mitigate future launch risks and seize emerging opportunities to improve quality, output, safety, and cost.
- Identify operational challenges within the organization, determine root cause, and develop appropriate solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job-Related Experience:
Certifications: Documented formalized training or professional-level planning/scheduling certification is preferred (PSP, SP, etc).
Licenses, etc.: Valid driver's license is necessary when operating a vehicle while on agency business.
Qualifications
Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of industry scheduling software is required.
Skills:
- Regularly work with minimal direct supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organization skills and high-level attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and working knowledge of SharePoint/other Microsoft Office products.
Abilities:
- Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to perform with changing deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
Physical Demands: This position will experience the demands of a typical office environment.
Work Environment: Work is performed in a typical office setting. Employee will be required to meet with stakeholders frequently, sometimes in field settings. Hybrid work schedule may be considered.
Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for issuance of a NASA credential.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
