TacSat-2
TacSat-2 was launched along with NASA's GeneSat-1 aboard a Minotaur I rocket on December 16th, 2006. The development and launch of TacSat-2 served to demonstrate the short turnaround time possible for both the payload itself and the Minotaur I launch vehicle, exhibiting the quick response capabilities of the Minotaur program at MARS Pad 0B. TacSat-2 contained equipment to allow for responsive ground access to satellite imagery.
TacSat-2 was the first mission to fly from MARS Pad 0B, making it the first launch from Virginia Spaceport Authority's Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport.
